Anthony Travalgia: Bruins sign Charlie Coyle & Chris Wagner; beat Senators 2-1 Wednesday was a successful day for the Bruins. First they signed Chris Wagner and Charlie Coyle, then went into Ottawa and beat the Senators 2-1, extending their win streak to five.

Bruins have a few of the league’s best-value contracts, so top marks for Sweeney overall. But this Coyle deal is gonna bite them. Seems very Backes-esque

It is pretty much right on par with what i thought he would get. Was hoping a little less than 5 but oh well. He is pretty versatile and a solid soldier so far. I can see him only getting better being able to watch and learn from Patrice and Krejci.

Also, Backes started in Boston at the age of 32. This contract for Coyle ends when he turns 33.... Not really the same and they aren't the same type of player. Plus he is already building a solid rapport with the young kids in Heinen and Bjork. He can really play with anyone.
